Is There a Certain Feeling in the Writing of a Show?

When you sit down to watch a new show or season, what are you generally looking for or hoping for? For an example, is there a certain vibe, something, genre, content specific, strong p o v qo, confidence in the creatives? And i i can take this one first, if that's ok. Obviously i have a predilection for certain kinds of stories or certain kinds of genres,. But i was kind of interrogating this a little bit, cause i was watching some shows last night of varying levels of quality. I will forgive a lot of stuff because i'm interested in how people are talking to one another.
