The Importance of Legal Obligations
It's such a bizarre thing to be presented by information about climate change from a country that is literally sinking. It does show, doesn't it, something about the state of the planet and our species again, that what is needed is legal obligations. Having a planet where life is viable just doesn't seem to be enough of an incentive to get people to do anything. Horge Vinuales, professor of law and environmental policy at Cambridge University, who drafted the legal question that went in front of the court said, it cannot be possible that destroying the planet is legal. For a professor of law, that is charmingly naive.
