Rock Weathering as a Technique for Carbon Removal
A group of researchers published a piece in the journal global change biology, and arguing that the biological processes will also affect the carbon removal potential of enhanced weathering. The authors argue that more research is needed to understand how mineralization will work in real biological systems. And they make a compelling, but not a really strong, argument that these biological factors should be incorporated into how we model the potential for enhanced silica weathering.
