Madison: Lincoln seems to have been a pretty good psychologist. He seems really to have known well the kinds of behaviour that we're going to uce the most positive results for him. Salmon p chase in particular, is starting to squirm. He's the rat here, the person who stirred up trouble between the cabinet and the congress in the first place. And whether that's true or not is a little bit more of a question,. But lincoln is, i think i en, playing a little bit of the guilt card, and it works actually, extremely well.
