The Physiology of Stress and the Role of Cortisol

Cortisol is the stress hormone that a lot of people typically talk about. Its primary purpose is to actually re-sensitize our body's ability to maximally fight or flight for the next time that happens. The only time hormones can be bad is if they're chronically high or chronically low. Chronic high cortisol is what breaks people down and hurts people in the long term with regards to glucose, inflammation, fitness monitoring but Travis is an absolute master in so many other areas as well.
