Is Apple Bringing in Star Power Right Away?

i imagine apples probably banking on the tech aspect of it, which is having a great quality stream. But i am surprised that apple didn't bring in the star power right away. It seems like apple has been doing a mix of extremely talented, unknown and huge star power. And then it seems like they did neither one for the be for the base i s not everybody hated it.
