The inquest into the death of Cindy James was one of the most expensive and lengthy in British Columbia history. The jury failed to reach a conclusion as to whether Cindy had been murdered or had taken her own life. They determined that Cindy James died as the result of an unknown event after one vote shifted the decision from suicide to undetermined.
