Is the Senate Filibuster Ok?

Gun control is one of the many issues in which majority opinion runs into a brick wall. The filibuster provides a veto over national policy to a minority of the states. A yu would have to go back and really fundamentally change the structure of things. But they don't wan to talk about that. Instead, what they say is that somehow, if you could get some assault weapons ban through the senate on 51 votes, that it would make all the difference. That seems like a pretty bold take to me.
