In hebrews seven, in verse 18, a former com min is set aside because of its weakness and uselessness. On the other hand, a better hope is introduced through which we draw near to god. And it talks about how god swore this oath. The oath that has been talked about is the oath that was sworn by god on mariah where christ was slain. This makes jesus the surety of a better covenant.
