In the early 90s, David and his husband Dick met a man named Robert Coddington through a friend. In 2006, Robert moved into Dick's guest bedroom so that he could spend time converting tapes to digital files. He remembers there were so many tapes stored in the room that they were stacked 8 feet high along the wall. The only things in the room besides the tapes were a bed and editing equipment.
