Is JAT GPT the Hot New Thing?

JAT GPT is the hot new thing. At least it was a month ago. I'm sure there's the next cool thing out already. In my model of agenthood, it doesn't quite make it. It doesn't want to do anything. The distinction I would use here is between a system that is doing some sort of explicit internal general purpose search and an E. coli-style program where goals are implicit. That's how I would think about it.
