Mike’s Winding Path to Bitcoin

Most Bitcoiners make at least one self-custody mistake. Between them, our guests have made nearly all of them.

In this special edition of Bitcoin Banter, Michael sits down with Mike from Bitcoin Straight Up and Bitcoin Katie to compare their journeys into Bitcoin self-custody. There are exchange collapses, Celsius and FTX, a hardware wallet bought from the wrong place and a seed phrase mistake that cost real Bitcoin.

They also get into why collaborative custody wasn't enough, whether you need to be technical to hold your own keys, and what changes once you run your own node.

Still keeping your Bitcoin on an exchange? Watch this before you repeat their mistakes.
