The Truth and Conciliation Commission

The truth and reconciliation commission met formally from 19 95 to 19 98. Its basic premise was that any individual, whatever they had done, was eligible for amnesty if they would fully disclose and confess their crimes. The commission investigated human rights violations by both architects and opponents of a parted. Victims were invited to tell their stories and witness confessions.
