The Importance of Self-Identification
Scottish National Party tried to make it easier to self-identify as female. They said, you don't need a medical diagnosis. You just need to live for three months as the opposite sex. And then you can call yourself woman and get access to women-only spaces. A double rapist called Adam Graham decided once he'd been convicted of rape that he was actually a woman called Isla Bryson. He was being remanded in a female prison while they were working out what to do with him. But because there were photographs of Adam Graham with this neck tattoo, scary looking rapist, suddenly that image, it changed things.
