Is the RBA Governor Getting Information From Wider Sources?
Dr Peter Chulip is an economist who used to work for the Reserve Bank and he also worked for the United States Federal Reserve. He thinks there's an unhealthy culture of secrecy that doesn't exist in comparable banks elsewhere including in the US. It does seem to point to a bigger problem that Philip Lowe is facing right now, says Dr Chulip. The RBA governor is constantly being forced to defend himself and the way in which he's communicated those decisions.
