The Original Thirteenth Amendment Is Going to Pass Both Houses of Congress

This amendment is short and simplei it suggests that slavery will be permanent. So no amendment shall be made to the constitution which will authorize or give to congress the power to establish or interfere, within any state with the domestic institutions thereof. This is very simp we are not going to interfere with slavery where it exists, and there can be no amendment for this. And important to remember that this is going to pass both houses of congress,. even though members of the lower south had already left t night.
