I think probably just given myself permission to believe in myself as a writer. When I started River Sing Me Home I'm quite a perfectionist and self-critical. Knowing that my parents would be honest with me when I showed them the book they were the first people to read the book in its entirety so yeah what a gift that is my mum died just just before I picked up an agent and sold my first book. She knew that I'd finished the book but she never got to read any event and she was the biggest reader in the worldSo I'm delighting vicariously in that in the gorgeous thrill oh that's lovelyoh thank your mum thank you mum because this book
