The Slumber Party Massacre follows a high school student who gathers her friends for a sleepover, unaware that an escaped, power drill wielding killer is loose in the neighborhood. It was originally written as a parody of the slasher genre, but was shot as a straightforward horror film instead. Despite the mixed reviews from critics upon release, it went on to gain a large cult following.
