Predestination - Is God's Gift?
The idea of predestination is that god has given us salvation as a gift, and we should pray for it. In other words, God gave us the opportunity to be saved from our sins by being in contact with him on this earth. The Bible contains many places where people are told they have been foreordained or pre-destined before any action can be taken against them. It's an incredible picture of gratitude when you think about how grateful we would be if we were able to reach heaven itself.
