Identifying Gifted and Talented English Learners

The expectation in an international school is that they're all language learners. Many students are identified first and foremost from a referral. It can be a referral from a teacher, it can be a referal from a parent. Often parents know their child has some exceptional abilities you're not going to know because you haven't been with them for the first five, six, 12 years of their life. And if you're able to do those little things like saying their name, right? If you’re able to have a good relationship with those students,  you will perform better as a teacher.
