Cumberland National Forest

Cumberland national forect was named after william augustus, the duke of cumberland. When locals realized the area was named after someone who slaughtered their ancestors, they asked to get the forest renamed. In 19 66, that happened when linden b john and officially changed it to daniel boone national forest.
