Macon, Georgia - The Great Resurrection of the Southern Presbyterian Church

In the early 20th century, Macon was born in an era of liberalization and openness to higher critical thinking. The evangelical impulse of the northern church led them to receive most of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Not too far from that on the other side of Lexington is really where the second great awakening sort of kicked off in the south.
