The Internet and the Skinner's Box

B.F. Skinner believed that the only way we could avoid a disaster was to exert total control and transform all of the world into a controlled environment. The MIT Media Lab represents development of this entire new force in the world called data science. Data science takes the Skinner's box and basically transposes it onto the web, allowing for the reduction of human beings to their lowest common denominator. We get upgraded algorithms and downgraded human beings, but they're doing it.
