How to Have a Compassionate Conversation With Your Partner
You seem to me like a perfectly thoughtful, reasonable, rational, calm person who doesn't need my help having this conversation. Maybe he wants no primary partners, non-hierarchical relationships and you will be equal in every way to the partner who just logistically and geographically is closer to him now. I don't know what's going on in his head and you don't know either. It is absolutely crucial for your own emotional safety and for your kids, safety emotionally, socially, for you to have this conversation with him now. Are we going to have a nest of our own? Will you be also my nesting partner? Yes or no? Will you make a financial contribution?
