Islamic Ideology in the Middle East

What iranian shia ideology offers is something that is very similar to what the moslem brotherhood, if you like, or sunny islamic movements. In irac there are sheer shrines that are being bombed. Part of that seems to be because there is a perception among some soni groups that to have a shrine is, in a sense, a form of idolatry. I think it's more to do with an issue of perception and tions we know are not always accurate, but that's what plays out in real life.
