The Damage Donald Trump Does to Himself
The jury found that Donald Trump had sexually abused E. Jean Carroll, who's an advice-colonist magazine writer in a New York department store 27 years ago. It did not find him raped her, but it did find him liable for defaming Carroll by branding her a liar when she first went public with her accusations against him. He has been ordered to pay her about $2 million in damages for sexual abuse and then another $3 million on top of that defamation.
