The biggest gift we can give ourselves on our spiritual journey is to open up our apprehension to what might be encountering the divine. And one of the best ways to do it is to for instance create a journal. Keep a journal and listen to your own bodily and the phenomenal responses you get when you do the work. When I get this tingling something's happening. Or you recognize when I pray to this deity the room seems slightly brighter this other one feels very shadowy. You develop your apprehension of the unseen by listening to it internally you know as well as literally. But it helps to record it otherwise it's lost.
