The Martian is based on the novel by Andy Weir, and it's the story of astronaut Mark Watney. It has been heralded over the past few years as being one of the most realistic space movies ever. Directed by Ridley Scott, I would say this is his most watchable, most enjoyable, easiest to recommend movie for quite some time.
