Skipping breakfast has different circadian cue benefits than skipping dinner. It might have more energy balance benefits based upon what deficit you're in during your most active portion of the day. I typically would recommend that breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper,. That's what I do and I'm not fasting.
