How the Federal Housing Administration Has Screwed Over Black People
The series opens with a story about African Americans in the 1940s. The military moved in and said, we want your land to build a military base for World War II. After the war, it's basically of no use and they won't let the black residents come back. They underpaid them through eminent domain, give them well below the land value of the area. And then a few years later, they turn it over to the environmentalists to make an environmental refuge out of it. So it's completely mistreating and abusing people by stealing their land. All of this runs through with economic effects in the present day.
