The Origin Story of Splinter the Rat in the Original 1983 Comic Book

Lard and eastman created the turtars in 19 83. They were two young, struggling comic book artists who couldn't get published. One of em just drew a little picture of a tartal as an inja for a joke. The other one laughed at it, and then they said, wait a minute. Maybe we have something here. And they began to develop the story.
