Is the World We Live in Better Than to Day's World?

Teachers and teachers unions should be working hard to have a stronger link between the inputs the teachers are putting in and the outputs of the students. In that world, the good ones would be compensated - which is exactly what most teachers unions are trying to do. As soon as you put that system in, there will quickly be pressure to do something about the lower performers. And i think because the teacher junior represents all teachers, they don't want to encourage a system of vifercation between the high performers and low performers.
