There's got to be some transcendent standard, otherwise we're never going to agree about anything. Basketball, af brownes better than you and i. And how the hell are we all supposed to get along if everybody's got their own vision of the good and the true and the just right liket? There's got to be some ultimate measure. say that we human beings, we are wretched ware fallen, were finite, were fallible. So we have to learn how to cope with pin ultimate forms standards of excellence and so forth. And those is still as real as e harlitac. As i mentioned before, shakespeare versus a scribbler, there is a difference. You give an account of what it is to write. And once you are involved in that activity, then you see the difference. Basketball, af brownes better than you and i. It is built in forms of excellence in each relative contect that people, if they were able to understand what the game's about, understand what writing is, understand what playing a horn is, then they would have to acknowledge that. But that doesn't mean is a transcendent. Thngoh no. We don't have to appeal to transcendents for for shakespeare, a tony morrison on la bron a col train, or mary lewe williams and so forth. Not at all.
