When we're talking about the golden rules of carbs and fat loss, we want to apply them to the starchy vegetables. They are based on four things, four things, timing, quality, quantity, and pairing. The right time is the nighttime or post-workout. Remember that insulin is an anabolic hormone. It is a storage hormone. So when we create an insulin response by consuming carbohydrates, not the non-starchy carb vegetables like the leafy greens or the cabbage... We cannot simultaneously be in storage mode and breakdown mode and fat burning mode. You don't know it until you're implementing it.
