Are You Losing People to Restaurant Chains?
Retail and hospitality are the two areas where we're losing people, but also in home care at the moment. The reason for that is fuel costs, because home care workers are struggling to afford to put petrol in their tanks. Three quarters of firms who try to recruit can't fill the vacancies or struggle for a long period to fill those vacancies. It's having a massive impact, so as well as hospitality, manufacturing and construction, basically every business and every sector we speak to is feeling the pain. We've really heard about these two competing for staff with good people, skilled.
