The Fear of Cryptocurrency Competition
Nick Gillespie: It's definitely a common fear that I see and really across the board you nailed it. You advance an argument that turns that fear on its head, argues that the emergence of technologies like Bitcoin augment the strength of the dollar rather than detract from it. One of the key purposes of currency competition is to impose upon the existing monetary and financial agencies a much needed discipline. And sadly, at least most folks probably in this room have not lived to see a truly free system as far as currency competition goes.
