How to Analyze Businesses Quickly

We went into Berkshire because it was cheap statistically just as a general investment back in the early 60s. We could have done the things we've done subsequently from a neutral base rather than a negative base and actually it would have worked out better, but it's been a lot of fun. The question of technology is very simple. That doesn't make it through our filter. I mean, so if something comes in where there's a technological component that's of significance or where we think the future technology could hurt the business as it presently exists, we look at that as something to worry about.
