There is some work going on in the field of domicology where communities will do an assessment of our property prior to any demolition or even renovation. It's not just abandonment that contributes to that waste stream but also renovation there are folks who will come into your property assess the value of the materials that may be salvaged and then give you that estimate. That might help the property owner make the decision do i want to invest in a renovationDo i want to deconstruct or do i just want to demolish this thing and throw it in a hole in the ground so yeah which makes sure we don't know for sure.
