The Renaissance Reformation

I don't know any discussion of America that isn't profoundly sobered by the issues that we face. Get them right and you've got a chance of enduring. Fail to get them right, and much of the mess could deepen in certain areas. I'm not supporting the Renaissance. Magnificent explosion of arts and all sorts of things. But some of its ideas of freedom were profoundly dangerous and we're reaping them today. It's attempt, in that case, to go back to Jesus and the scriptures again after the accretions of centuries had come over that and lost it.
