Westerners are not going to like it, and they don't. The question is whether one can deal with this in a sensible and productive way. With new technology, we can see very clearly is a double-edged weapon. It liberates and oppresses at the same time. We simply have no idea how that's going to play out.
Is China, with its unfair trade policies and shameless theft of intellectual property, an enemy that needs to be reined in? Or is it in the West’s best interests to view China as a strategic partner and aim for mutual respect and cooperation?
