The Origins of Mediterranean Archaeology
In the 1980s and 90s, archeology as a discipline entered its own post-colonial era. It began this huge era of reinterpretation and reexamination of past thinking about particularly Greek colonization movements. I've always approached archaeology as almost trying to go back in time. What was it like to walk down the streets? What was itlike to use an object in this place, in this space? And what would somebody have experienced?
