Is Hyperplasia a Cause of Muscle Growth?
In a study, scientists autopsied the left and right anterior tibealis muscles of seven previously healthy right handed men with an average age of 23. The results showed that there were ten % more muscle fibres in the left muscle than the right - which researchers believed was best explained by hyper plasia. If we looked at the data in the study, it would show about ten % growth because of hyper plasia over about 23 years of constant use. So if hyper plasia does exist, it would appear to take a very long time to occ and it will not contribute greatly to the size and strength of our muscles. And i'm not recommending steroids.
