How to Write in the Present Tense

I think one of the things that you just always need to think about is, why am I writing in the present tense? You know, I'm describing things that are flickering across your field of vision. What's happening? What is the word that says what's happening in the smallest amount of, of, of verbiage that conveys that action immediately? And that's exactly what you do. It's like, first of all, words are the enemy. That was something that Michael Pillar used to say apparently. The more words that you're using to convey anything, the harder it is to convey anything,. especially in a movie, you know, something happens.
