Wirecard - What's the Connection?
German regulator Baffin gets a dossier three or four days before our first story appears. They see it as part of a conspiracy to try and manipulate the Wirecard share price. There's also some evidence of, I guess, kind of bumbling stupidity in there. One of the things they find suspicious is a couple of different hedge funds have been mentioned in this report they put together. You can't throw a stone without hitting a hedge fund in Mayfair. The regulator had repeatedly investigated critics of Wirecard over the years,. sort of notably in 2008, 2016, and again now in 2019.
