Is There a Near Miss?
Astronomers think that in a million years, another star will pass within one fifteenth of a light year of our solar system. By then, the we might not even be on earth. We are sortotechnically going to collide with this other star. Our ort cloud is probably always getting little gravitational tugs from close by stars. That might be what's driving comets.
