When you build taxonomies or other information structures, often it's locked into a certain time. And when you say a type of, that means a type of right now, or is a not was or will be a. That goes back to when I was intern in healthcare, there was a huge problem with babies in hospitals. One person checks in but two people check out when a mother goes in to have a baby.
My guest today is Ren Pope. Ren is a Principal at Info-Do, which offers data, information, and knowledge architecture consulting. He’s worked in these domains for the last 25 years or so, and has also taught colleagues how to do these things through workshops and presentations.
