Are the California Tenant Protection Laws a Loophole?
Debby is looking for a new place to live. I was really disturbed to learn that eids and inlaw units and those types of things aren't covered by the tenant protection laws in california. So even the landlandlords receive their rent, either from the state or from me, they can still stin to leave. We're seeing as more people moved to the suburbs, tenant organizing is moving out there. And so it's really exciting to see some of that movement growing you know, in terms of disorganizing landlords who are doing illegal things to force tenants out.
