George Cukor warned the costume designer that he should test her on the first day of filming. He stood his ground and said, all right, come and show me what you want to wear. She had a cabin on the side of the lake with all her wardrobe in the whole picture. So she wore the right wardrobe. We did the day's work. I used to travel back with the director in the same car to where we were based. It was just like that.
