ICD Continuous Deployment

When I come to these kind of companies and I just kind of talk to the engineers who are over there and ask them, how can we not do automated testing, CI-CD, et cetera. Mostly what I hear back is, oh, management doesn't want us to do that. They want us to focus on features only. So we just kind of keep doing that. And they may have mistaken some words like, you know, about we got to quickly get this thing down means that we shouldn't be doing best practices - which is interesting. It's awesome.
