When you're trying to convince someone, when you're having a two hour conversation with them, what I always remember is the story of David and Goliath. Don't fight battles that there's not a reward for. Cho Gim Trungpa called it spiritual materialism. It's like another trick by ego where you want to build another identity as a spiritual person as helping someone.
